Usage 1: 2-Chloro-4-aminopyridine is an intermediate of the plant growth regulator forchlorfenuron.

Usage 2 : Used as medicine, pesticide, pigment intermediate

Production Method: Its preparation method is to use isonicotinic acid as a raw material, chlorinated with phosphorus oxychloride to obtain 2-chloropyridine-4-carboxylic acid, and then react with ammonia to generate the corresponding amide, and then carry out Hoff Mann degradation reaction to obtain product. It is also possible to use 2-chloropyridine-N-oxide as a raw material, first nitrate with fuming nitric acid, and then reduce it with iron powder in acetic acid to obtain the product.
